Ms. Stacie Cooper-Roundtree

Founder, Owner, Director

Stacie Roundtree, a California native originally from Cleveland, Ohio, boasts over 29 years of dedicated service as a Family Child Care Owner at Training Children Childcare & Learning Center, LLC. Specializing in caring for children aged two to twelve, Stacie serves as the Owner and Director of the center. Additionally, she holds certification as a Mentor Master Teacher, collaborating with the Los Mendanos College Professional Development team to mentor early educators in curriculum development and educational planning for young learners.

Beyond her roles in childcare, Stacie is an accomplished author, having penned three children's books, and a passionate advocate for early literacy. Her commitment to supporting children and families extends to her involvement as a Board Member of the Contra Costa Department of Education Local Planning Committee, where she champions School Family Partnership initiatives.

Experience:

Stacie holds a bachelor's degree in Child Development, a Child Development Program Director Permit from the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and a volunteer at the County Board of Education in their Legal Compliance Office for the past 14 years as a Social Content Reviewer. She has participated in the Preschool Make a Difference Program (PMD), and worked with First Five Families and Los Medanos College as a Professional Growth Advisor (PGA).

Always learning & growing

Staff Development

Both full-time and part-time staff are required to take Child Development College courses to further their growth as teachers and mentors. All interns are encouraged to participate in Child Development Workshops given by their local Childcare Council or neighborhood Community Center.
