🏗️ Construction Month

“Building Bright Minds & Big Futures”

ree

July was Construction Month at TCC, and our classrooms turned into bustling work zones! We started by learning about construction safety—because before you can build anything, you have to know how to stay safe. Helmets, vests, and proper tools were our focus, and the children loved dressing up in their own mini-construction uniforms.

As the weeks went on, we explored all the exciting jobs that make construction possible—from architects and engineers to carpenters and crane operators. The children got hands-on with pretend tools and toy vehicles, imagining themselves building homes, stores, and playgrounds. It was amazing to see their creativity take shape as they worked together.

ree

We wrapped up the month with a special treat—a “traffic light” snack—and the grand reveal of our very own cardboard community! The students worked together to plan, build, and decorate a little city made entirely from cardboard. Not only did they practice teamwork, but they also learned that building something great starts with a strong plan and a helping hand.

ree

The joy on the children’s faces as they stood back and admired their finished “city” was priceless. They were so proud to show their creations to classmates, teachers, and visiting parents, explaining what each building was and why they designed it that way. It was a wonderful reminder that construction isn’t just about bricks and beams—it’s about vision, collaboration, and seeing an idea come to life. July’s theme truly built more than structures; it built confidence, friendships, and a sense of accomplishment that we know will carry over into the school year ahead.

💐 Waterpark Adventures 💐

"Wet & Wild"

ree

Our annual water park trip was the perfect way to cool off and wrap up our big summer adventures! This year, our group was smaller than usual, but that didn’t stop the fun—if anything, it made the day feel even more personal and relaxed.

We splashed, slid, and laughed our way through the day under the warm summer sun. The Gomez family joined in on the fun, making the trip even more memorable. When it was time for a break, we gathered for a delicious pizza lunch before heading back to the water for one last splash.

By the time we packed up, the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all—this was a summer day we won’t forget! The water park trip will always be one of our favorite traditions, and we’re already counting down the days until next year’s adventure.

Other Summer Fieldtrips

This summer was jam-packed with fun and exploration! We ventured to the movies, enjoyed the Blue Goose experience, visited local parks, and found countless ways to make memories together. Each trip brought new learning opportunities, fresh air, and plenty of laughter.

At the movies, the children loved sharing popcorn and gasping at the big screen surprises. The Blue Goose trip gave them a chance to explore fresh produce and learn where their food comes from. And, of course, our park days were filled with playground fun, group games, and sunny picnics.

As the school year approaches, we want to wish all of our students a happy, exciting, and successful year ahead. Summer may be ending, but the adventures at TCC are far from over!

🎓 Family Day at Six Flags

"A Day to Remember"

ree

This year’s Family Day was one for the books! We took our celebration to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and it was a huge success from start to finish. Thank you to all the families who came out to spend the day with us—it was such a joy to see our TCC community come together in such a fun and exciting place.

From the moment we walked through the gates, the air was buzzing with excitement and the promise of adventure.
ree

It warmed our hearts to see alumni families mingling with our current families, catching up on life, and sharing memories from their TCC days. Everywhere you looked, there were smiling faces—children laughing on rides, parents snapping pictures, and groups chatting over snacks. The rides were a hit for thrill-seekers and little adventurers alike, with something for everyone to enjoy. Whether it was the roar of a roller coaster, the splash from a water ride, or the gentle fun of the carousel, the joy was contagious.

ree

And of course, we can’t forget the food! Between bites of delicious treats and sips of refreshing drinks, we fueled up for more rides and fun. It was a day full of laughter, connection, and memories that we’ll cherish for years to come. We’re already looking forward to making this an annual tradition—Family Day is all about celebrating the love and community that makes TCC so special, and this year, we truly did it in style!

ree

We want to extend a huge thank-you to every family who made the day special. Your presence, your contributions, and your enthusiasm are what make events like this possible. Seeing everyone together reminded us why our TCC community is so unique—it’s not just a school, it’s a family. We can’t wait to keep this tradition alive for years to come, and we’re already looking forward to Family Day 2026!

💌 Farewell, Mr. Josh

Thank you for all the years!

ree

July brought a bittersweet goodbye as we said farewell to Mr. Josh, one of TCC’s most beloved teachers. His kindness, patience, and creativity have left a lasting mark on our students and staff. Watching him connect with children, inspire their learning, and encourage their curiosity has been a true gift to our community.

Saying goodbye wasn’t easy. There were plenty of hugs, a few tears, and many heartfelt words of gratitude. Mr. Josh has played such a big role in making TCC the warm, welcoming place it is today, and we will miss him dearly.

Student of the Month

Congratulations to Amar Calhoun!

ree

This month, we are thrilled to celebrate our Student of the Month, the one and only Amar Calhoun! Amar may be one of our younger students, but his presence fills the classroom like sunshine pouring through the window. From the moment he walks in, his bright smile and quick wit light up everyone’s day. His charming personality has us all smiling, laughing, and sometimes even dancing right along with him.

ree

Amar is the kind of student who surprises us daily—sometimes with his growing knowledge, other times with his epic dance moves. Whether he’s showing off a cool fact he learned or inventing a silly new game for his friends, he has a way of making every moment unforgettable. It’s never a dull day when Amar is around, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We are so proud to honor Amar this month. He is a shining example of what it means to bring joy, kindness, and curiosity into the classroom. Amar, thank you for reminding us that learning can be just as fun as it is important—you truly make TCC brighter!

🧺 Summer Programs Recap

As summer draws to a close, we’re looking back with pride on our summer reading and math programs. Our school-age students have been hard at work, and the results have been nothing short of amazing! In reading, students explored the lives of influential people from around the world. They didn’t just read about them—they wrote their own short biographies, describing each person’s childhood and path to success.

This year we added something new—our summer math program! The children dove into the world of mental math, practicing quick calculations and problem-solving skills. It was incredible to watch their confidence grow with each session. They challenged themselves, encouraged each other, and celebrated every victory along the way.

To end the program with a sweet reward, we hosted an ice cream sundae party for all participants who completed their goals. It was the perfect way to celebrate hard work, learning, and the joy of mastering new skills. We couldn’t be prouder of our summer learners!

☀️ Until Next Time...

As we say goodbye to summer and hello to a brand-new school year, we’re filled with gratitude for our wonderful TCC community. July reminded us of the joy that comes from learning together, playing together, and growing together. Thank you to our families for your continued support, your participation, and the love you pour into our school. We can’t wait to see what the coming months will bring—here’s to making even more memories, reaching new milestones, and sharing lots of laughter along the way!
