Whether you are in the middle of an Under the Sea theme, exploring the ocean with hands-on activities, or just looking for a fun summer craft idea for kids. This Jellyfish Craft is perfect. Plus, Paper Bowl Jellyfish make a fun decoration for your child’s room or to display hanging in front of a window.
Here's How to make it:
What’s Needed:
2 Paper or Plastic Disposable Bowls
25—3 inch Squares Tissue Paper, multi-color/designs
Gift Wrap Ribbon, multi-colors
1 Bottle School Glue
Tape
Scissors
4 Large Googly Eyes
Directions:
1. On the back side of the bowl, rub glue evenly all over until covered.
2. Press the tissue paper squares all over, slightly overlapping.
3. A few of the overlapping spots may need a bit more glue, so put a little on your finger and rub glue on any spots that are not wet or stuck down.
4. Let dry completely.
5. Cut a small hole into the top of bowl, just large enough to fit the ribbon through.
6. Take a piece of ribbon, about 18 inches long, fold it in half and stick both open ends through the hole. Knot it on the inside of the bowl. This will be the hanger.
7. Now cut 12 pieces of different color ribbons, about 1 yard each, and tie together in a knot at one end.
8. Tape the knot end inside the bowl where the other knot you tied earlier is. Make sure it is centered.
9. Glue on the googly eyes and let dry.
10. The Jellyfish are ready to hang!
