🏕️Camping Adventures with Ms. D🏕️

Around the World and Into the Wild!

April was filled with adventure, imagination, and outdoor fun as we continued our exciting Camping Month led by Ms. Diana, our talented Los Medanos College mentee!

We kicked off the month by transforming both the backyard and the garage into imaginative campsites. We pitched a big play tent, created a cozy pretend campfire using colorful paper flames and wood blocks, and even brought in sleeping bags to make it feel like a real camping trip.

The children crafted their own binoculars from recycled materials and made adorable mini fire pits to use during dramatic play. One of the highlights was using our electric s’mores maker—the kids were fascinated watching their marshmallows roast safely indoors, and the treats were absolutely delicious!

Another fun project was making bird feeders with seeds and peanut butter. While the children patiently waited to spot birds, our friendly (and very hungry) neighborhood squirrel got to them first, giving everyone a good laugh!

To wrap up our camping adventures, we went on a memorable field trip to Big Break Regional Park, where the children learned about local wildlife, explored trails, and practiced their "camper skills." Thank you, Ms. Diana, for making Camping Month so magical—you gave us memories that will last a lifetime!

🌎 Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Nature, Animals & Discovery!

Here at TCC, Earth Day is more than just a day—it’s a celebration of how important it is to take care of our beautiful planet.

This April, the children got creative and collaborative by making a giant, colorful group poster showing their love for Planet Earth. Each child contributed their own drawings and messages about ways we can help the planet, like planting flowers, picking up litter, turning off lights when not in use, and being kind to animals.

We also had special circle times where we read books about nature, recycling, and the importance of keeping our Earth healthy and strong. The children shared thoughtful ideas about ways they could help at home and in their neighborhoods, from starting gardens to saving water while brushing their teeth!

Seeing the care and thoughtfulness of our students reminds us that no matter how small we are, each of us can make a BIG difference. Happy Earth Day—let’s keep celebrating and caring for our amazing world every day of the year!

Resurrection Day!

✝️ Celebrating the True Meaning of Easter

This April, we took extra care to focus on the true meaning of Easter here at TCC.

Mrs. Stacie and Mrs. Melissa gathered the children together to share the powerful and beautiful story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. We talked about why Good Friday, Palm Sunday, and Resurrection Sunday are such important days, and the children asked such thoughtful and heartfelt questions along the way.

To help the story come alive, the children created a special art project inspired by Matthew 28:6: "He is not here; He has risen, just as He said." Each project was unique, showing the joy and hope that Easter represents.

After focusing on the story, we had some extra Easter fun with an exciting Easter egg hunt in the backyard! The children searched high and low for colorful eggs filled with little surprises. We also played a few rounds of Easter Bingo, where everyone had a chance to win cheerful prizes.

This Easter was a beautiful blend of faith, celebration, and community. We are so thankful to share the hope of the Resurrection with our TCC family!

🎉 Aprill Birthday Shoutouts🎉

A Very Special Birthday Celebration!

Happy Birthday to all our April babies!
Happy Birthday to all our April babies!

April brought a wonderful reason to celebrate—Ms. Vicki’s birthday on April 26th!

Ms. Vicki is such a special part of our TCC family, always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, and plenty of hugs to go around. On her big day, the children worked hard to create beautiful handmade cards and colorful drawings to show their love and appreciation.

We gathered together to sing a loud and cheerful "Happy Birthday," followed by a special treat time where we shared cupcakes and laughter. The kids loved hearing funny stories about Ms. Vicki’s favorite childhood memories, and she even shared what her favorite birthday cake flavor is (spoiler alert: it’s chocolate!).

We are so thankful for Ms. Vicki’s gentle spirit and the kindness she shares with everyone around her. Happy Birthday, Ms. Vicki—your TCC family loves you so much!

Student of the Month

Congratulations to Mia Gomez!

A huge round of applause for our Student of the Month, Mia Gomez!

Mia brings so much energy, positivity, and creativity to our afternoon activities. Whether we are doing art projects, storytime discussions, or fun group games, Mia is always the first to raise her hand, offer thoughtful ideas, and encourage her friends to join in.

She is a wonderful example of what it means to be engaged, kind, and supportive. Her laughter is truly contagious, and it's impossible not to smile when Mia is around! Her classmates look up to her for her positive attitude and her willingness to try new things, even when they seem a little challenging.

Mia’s bright spirit and joyful presence make every activity more exciting and meaningful. We are so proud to recognize Mia this month—keep shining your beautiful light everywhere you go!ude.
