❄️ Welcome to Our December Recap!

Hello TCC Families!

December was a month full of warmth, wonder, and meaningful moments here at Training Children Childcare (TCC). As the year came to a close, our classrooms were buzzing with excitement—from learning about holidays around the world to celebrating friendships, milestones, and new experiences. The children embraced the season with curiosity, kindness, and joy, making December a truly special time for our TCC family.

As we step into the new year, we’re excited to reflect on all the beautiful memories made in December. Here’s a look back at the highlights that made last month so memorable.

🌍 Holidays Around the World

"Discovering Meaning, Culture, and Celebration"

In December, our children took a meaningful journey around the world as they explored different holidays and traditions. From a Christian perspective, the children learned about the true meaning of Christmas, read “The First Christmas,” and created a special baby Jesus project that helped them connect the story to hands-on learning.

The exploration didn’t stop there! Children were introduced to St. Nicholas Day and Saint Lucia Day, learning how these traditions are celebrated in other cultures. Through stories, discussions, and creative projects, the children gained an appreciation for how different communities honor the season.

We also learned about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, focusing on themes of light, family, unity, and gratitude. Each celebration included age-appropriate activities and projects that helped children understand and respect the diversity of traditions around the world. It was a beautiful reminder that while celebrations may look different, many share the same values of love, hope, and togetherness.

🎄 Holiday Party Fun

"A Cozy Day of Celebration, Sharing, and Sweet Memories"

The last day before winter break was filled with cozy fun, laughter, and festive cheer as TCC children gathered to celebrate the season together. The day began with students arriving in their pajamas, instantly setting a relaxed and joyful tone. Seeing everyone dressed comfortably helped create a calm, home-like environment where children could truly enjoy the moment and each other’s company.

One of the most special highlights of the day was our Secret Santa book exchange. Children were excited to give and receive books, reinforcing the joy of sharing and the importance of reading. Watching their faces light up as they opened their new stories was a beautiful reminder that learning and generosity go hand in hand at TCC.

The celebration continued with a delicious breakfast, followed by a variety of board games and group activities. These moments allowed children to practice cooperation, patience, and teamwork while simply having fun together. The laughter and friendly competition filled the classrooms and strengthened peer connections as the year came to a close.

After nap time and afternoon snacks, the festivities wrapped up with warm hot cocoa and sweet desserts, generously donated by our amazing TCC families. This cozy treat was the perfect way to wind down the day, reflect on the fun, and transition into winter break. It truly was a magical and meaningful celebration that captured the spirit of the season and left everyone smiling.

It was the perfect sweet ending to a magical day and a lovely way to kick off the holiday break.

⛸️TCC on Ice!

"Our Field Trip to the Skating Rink"

While our younger friends rested during nap time, our school-age children headed out for an exciting field trip to the skating rink. For many of the children, this was their very first time skating, which made the experience both exciting and a little challenging.

With encouragement, determination, and lots of practice, the children made amazing progress. What started as cautious steps quickly turned into confident glides across the rink. It was wonderful to see their perseverance and growing confidence.

By the end of the trip, most students were skating independently, smiling with pride at how far they had come in such a short time. It was a memorable experience that built confidence, resilience, and lots of happy memories.

🎂 December Birthdays

Wishing our December babies all the best!

December was extra special as we celebrated several wonderful birthdays! We kicked off the month by celebrating Adrian on December 3rd. Adrian’s big day was filled with smiles, birthday cheer, and lots of love from friends and teachers alike.

Later in the month, we celebrated a double birthday on December 23rd for Edward and Reniyah. The classroom was full of excitement as both children were honored on the same day. Sharing a birthday made the celebration even more fun, and everyone enjoyed joining in on the festivities.

We wrapped up our December birthdays by celebrating Jaziyah on December 29th. Jaziyah’s birthday added a joyful close to the month, and we were so happy to celebrate another year of growth and learning. We wish all of our December birthday stars a year full of happiness, learning, and adventure!
