🧑🍳 A Month of Cooking 👩🏽🍳
“Extending Our Theme Through November”

This month, our cooking theme blossomed into a full culinary adventure. The children began by learning where food comes from—connecting farming, planting, and harvesting to the meals we love. This understanding made our garden trips and farm experiences even more meaningful. The excitement was contagious as students saw how ingredients grow and how they end up in our kitchens.

We kicked off our hands-on cooking experiences by making pumpkin pie! The children helped scoop, carve, and roast pumpkin seeds while exploring textures, smells, and new vocabulary. Then came one of the biggest hits of the month: pizza making! From kneading dough to adding sauce, cheese, and toppings, the children enjoyed every step. This activity allowed them to practice fine motor skills, creativity, and collaboration—with a yummy reward at the end.
Dramatic play also took on a delicious twist! Children learned about different restaurant roles—chefs, hosts, servers—and then created their own menus and decorated their very own chef hats. The classroom transformed into a bustling pretend restaurant that filled each day with imaginative fun. To finish the month, we made quesadillas with Ms. Gina, and the children absolutely loved it. Cooking has helped build confidence, independence, and curiosity, and we’re excited to continue this theme!
🌽 October Fieldtrips 🐓
"A Month of Adventures"
Fall Break gave us the perfect opportunity to fill our week with amazing field trips, and our students made the most of every moment. We started our adventure at

🎃 Pumpkin Patch Adventures!

One of our most exciting outings this month was our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, and it was truly a day to remember! The children were full of energy as we arrived, ready to explore everything the patch had to offer. The very first adventure was the corn maze, and the children absolutely loved weaving through the tall stalks, finding little surprises, and working together to choose which paths to follow. Their laughter echoed through the maze as they proudly helped each other find the way out.

After the maze, we headed over to the hay stacks—a perfect spot for fun and adorable photos. The children climbed, posed, and smiled for pictures that captured the joy of the season. From silly faces to big smiles, every snapshot told a story of fall fun and childhood wonder. The hay became a mini playground where imagination and adventure took over!

Of course, the highlight of the entire visit was picking out pumpkins. Each child took their time searching for the perfect pumpkin—big ones, tiny ones, round ones, and even a few quirky, bumpy ones. They made thoughtful choices, proud of selecting a pumpkin that was uniquely theirs. Back at school, the pumpkins became part of our cooking and art activities as the children carved, decorated, and explored them in different ways.
This pumpkin patch trip brought together exploration, creativity, and seasonal magic in the most beautiful way!
Visiting Oasis Farms
We also visited Oasis Family Farm, where we had an unforgettable day exploring life on the farm. The children learned about farm animals, how food is grown, and the life cycle of eggs. The highlight for many was getting to see newborn chicks—some only hours old! The children were fascinated as they gently held and petted them. To wrap up the week, we enjoyed our annual trip to Smith Family Farm, where we saw animals, sang festive songs with Jimbo, and picked out pumpkins. This tradition is one we look forward to every year, and it never disappoints!
Other Fun Trips
Home Depot and Lowe’s, where the children helped pick out flowers, soil, and other plants for our community garden. They loved choosing bright blooms and learning how gardeners care for growing things. These trips were hands-on, educational, and filled with excitement as the children helped select items that will grow right here at TCC!
Next, we rolled into a fun-filled day at Delta Bowl! Bowling was a huge hit, with children cheering each other on and celebrating every strike (and even those adorable gutter balls). After bowling, the arcade became the place to be. The lights, games, and joyful competition made it a memorable experience. The smiles were nonstop from start to finish.
🎂 October Birthdays
Wishing our October babies all the best!

October blessed us with two very special birthdays, and we had so much fun celebrating our friends! First, we kicked off the month with Jorden McNairy, who turned another year older on October 9th. The children enjoyed singing to Jorden and making the day feel extra festive. Classroom friends made cards, shared smiles, and helped create a warm birthday memory.
Later in the month, we celebrated Venayah Sharma, who turned a year older on October 26th. Venayah’s birthday brought so many giggles and happy faces! The children enjoyed their special snack together and showered Venayah with birthday love. These small celebrations always remind us how joyful it is to watch our students grow another year older.
Birthdays at TCC are more than cupcakes and candles—they’re opportunities to build community, share friendship, and practice kindness. We love seeing our children celebrate one another in the sweetest ways!
Student of the Month
Congratulations to Noah Gomez!

We are so proud to celebrate Noah Gomez as our Student of the Month! Noah has shown tremendous growth in so many areas—socially, emotionally, academically, and even in his classroom leadership. This month, Noah has demonstrated an eagerness to participate, listen, and try new activities with confidence. Whether he’s working on classroom projects or joining group lessons, Noah approaches each day with curiosity and a genuine desire to learn.

Noah brightens every room he walks into. His smile, sense of humor, and warm personality help create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for everyone around him. He is a wonderful friend to his classmates—always ready to share, take turns, and offer help when someone needs it. We’ve also seen Noah grow in independence, taking initiative with his daily routines and showing pride in completing tasks on his own.
What stands out most about Noah is his heart. He brings kindness, patience, and positivity to our classroom each day, making him a role model for his peers. His progress this month has been inspiring, and his enthusiasm lifts our spirits. We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work Noah has put in and the wonderful young person he is becoming.
Congratulations, Noah! Keep shining brightly, keep growing, and keep being the amazing kid you are. 🌟
